The Fable Play Website is Live!
It’s finally here (as you are reading it on the website) the Fable Play website is live! This has been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and it feels surreal to see it all come together. What started as a simple idea, bringing gaming into care homes and hospitals, has grown into something so much bigger, and this website is a big step in that journey.
When I first started running gaming sessions, I didn’t imagine how much joy, laughter, and genuine connection it would bring to people. Watching residents play together, share stories, and rediscover a sense of play was honestly one of the best parts of it all. Over time, I realised it wasn’t just about gaming, it was about improving wellbeing, tackling loneliness, and giving people something different to look forward to.
The new website is my way of showing how far Fable Play has come. You’ll find information about how we now lease gaming kits to care groups, homes, and healthcare organisations. It’s a model that makes it easier for more people to access the benefits of interactive play without needing to buy or transport equipment themselves. There’s also a section explaining how it all works, from consultation to installation, because every setting is different and the goal is to make sure the kit fits the space and the people using it.
Another part I’m really proud of is how Fable Play is starting to be recognised within research and healthcare circles. I’ve been in touch with NHS research teams and even have work being pushed toward BMJ Quality & Safety. It’s incredible to see gaming, something that’s often seen as just fun, being taken seriously as a tool for improving quality of life and connection.
This website is more than just a launch, it’s the start of a new chapter. It’s a space to share what I’m doing, what’s working, and what’s next. So have a look around, explore the pages, and if you think Fable Play could bring something special to your organisation or community, please get in touch. I’d love to chat, share ideas, and see how we can make play part of everyday care.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far, whether that’s joining in sessions, giving feedback, or just cheering the idea on. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where Fable Play goes next.
